Residents of Lower Dir district have demanded of the Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited to immediate withdraw the inflated bills, otherwise they will start protest against it. Speaking at a news conference at Timergara press club on Monday, member district council Alamzeb advocate, naib nazim neighborhood council Timergara-I Shahab Ahmad, Daulat Khan, Attaullah, Naeemullah, Muhabbat Shah and others said they can't afford submitting such lofty bills as these were far beyond their source of income.

Naeemullah, a poor labourer in Timergara bazaar said that he had taken loan from relatives to payout gas bill, amounting Rs29,400 in the last month. Now, he added the SNGPL has sent gas bill of Rs45,000 for the current month, which is difficult to payout this time. Attaullah, a wilder by profession said that he had received a bill for his domestic meter worth Rs16,000 which he would unable to pay the huge amount.
